Carret Private Announces the Hiring of Veteran Private Banker Team

(Hong Kong, 24 July 2018) – Carret Private Capital Limited - an affiliate of Carret Asset Management, LLC, and a leading multi-billion dollar investment manager based in New York – is pleased to announce the recent hiring of two veteran wealth management professionals, namely Mauricio Ribeiro and Changick Kim.

Dr. Mauricio Ribeiro has more than 10 years of experience as a private banker, managing portfolios for high and ultra-high net worth individuals in Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Prior to joining Carret in 2018, he was a Managing Director, as well as Head of the International and Independent Portfolio Management Service Desk at EFG Bank Hong Kong. He was previously a Director at Bank Julius Baer Hong Kong. Dr. Ribeiro earned his MBA (Finance) from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. While his private banking career was spent entirely in Asia, he also has global entrepreneurial and leadership skills, being the founder of three companies across different industries. He obtained an MBA (International Trading) from the University of Sao Paulo (USP). Before starting his career in finance, Dr. Ribeiro also obtained a MS in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD in Beef Production/Processing from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at USP.

Mr. Changick Kim has been in the banking industry for over 10 years, with extensive experience in wealth management. Prior to joining Carret in 2018, Mr. Kim was a Vice President at EFG Bank Hong Kong, where he focused on managing portfolios for high net worth individuals from Europe, Middle East and Asia. Previously, Mr. Kim spent four years at BNP Paribas Hong Kong, initially in their Global Equity Derivatives team and then as a Marketing Associate in Wealth Management. Mr. Kim holds a BA from Korea University in Statistics.
